Onur Güvenatam, the driving force behind OGM Pictures has been recognized as one of the most influential business leaders shaping the global media industry on Variety500 list.

As part of the seventh annual edition of Variety500, an index of the 500 most influential business leaders in the global media industry, Güvenatams accomplishments have  been highlighted. The list, updated on Dec. 19, 2023, reflects its members’ achievements over the previous 12 months. It showcases their significant contributions to the industry.

Güvenatam’s leadership at OGM Pictures has shaped the landscape of Turkish entertainment. Under his guidance, OGM Pictures has produced content that resonates with audiences worldwide such as the series “Golden Boy,” which became the most-watched TV drama in Türkiye last year and has been sold to over 100 countries.

FIRST NETFLIX ORIGINAL FILM FROM TURKIYE

In addition to Golden Boy,” OGM Pictures has delivered compelling content such as the drama “The Red Room” and “One Way for Tomorrow,” the first Netflix original film from Türkiye. The company has also ventured into international adaptations, successfully bringing the Israeli hit series “Shtisel” to Turkish audiences as “Ömer,” a testament to Güvenatam’s vision for global storytelling.

Under Güvenatam’s watch, OGM Pictures has expanded its global footprint with the launch of OGM UNIVERSE, a distribution company that further strengthens its position on the international market.
