James Cameron’s groundbreaking Avatar franchise is preparing to return with a brand-new film. The first trailer for Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third installment in the series, has just been released.
Also known as Avatar 3, the film picks up where Avatar: The Way of Water left off. As seen in the promotional campaigns, the movie promises to explore a new side of the Pandora universe and introduce previously unseen cultures and regions.
This time, Avatar 3 will take audiences to the uncharted corners of Pandora, introducing the peaceful “Wind Traders,” who travel by airships, and the warrior “Fire People,” who ride flying creatures.
In the new installment, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña will return as Jake Sully and Neytiri, while Stephen Lang will reprise his role as Colonel Miles Quaritch. Cliff Curtis and Kate Winslet will also return as Tonowari and Ronal, the leaders of the Metkayina clan.

New characters will also be introduced, including Oona Chaplin as Varang and David Thewlis as Peylak from the Mangkwan clan. Familiar names from previous installments, Sigourney Weaver, Giovanni Ribisi, Edie Falco, Joel David Moore, Jack Champion, Matt Gerald, and Britain Dalton, will also appear in the film.
With the first two films earning over $5 billion in global box office revenue, the record-breaking Avatar series has secured its place in cinematic history. Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water remain among the highest-grossing films of all time, alongside Avengers: Endgame, raising high expectations for Avatar: Fire and Ash.
