The spinoff of HBO’s iconic series Sex and the City, And Just Like That…, is coming to an end with its third season. This marks the conclusion of Carrie Bradshaw’s story, which has been part of our lives since the late 1990s.
Showrunner Michael Patrick King stated that the decision was made while writing the final episode of season 3, and said:
“While I was writing the last episode of ‘And Just Like That…’ season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop. Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys, and Sarah Aubrey, we decided to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12.
SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn’t want the word ‘final’ to overshadow the fun of watching the season. It’s with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years.”
First premiered in 2021, And Just Like That… brought longtime friends Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York back together in New York City. In the currently airing third season, Carrie focuses on herself after her breakup with Aidan, Miranda explores new relationships, and Charlotte pursues her career goals.

The final episode of And Just Like That… will air on August 14 on HBO Max.
