ZDF Studios has signed a multi-year agreement with TV2 Group covering more than 1,200 hours of drama programming for the Hungarian market.

The deal grants TV2 Free TV, Pay TV and VOD rights across Hungary, ensuring broad multi-platform access to a wide range of scripted content. The package spans classic series, long-running audience favorites and contemporary hits from the ZDF catalogue.

Among the titles included are iconic dramas such as The Black Forest Clinic and Derrick, alongside popular crime and adventure series like SOKO Wien and Alpine Rescue. The agreement also features well-known medical dramas including Mountain Medic and Dr. Nice.

In addition, the package comprises beloved romantic TV movie collections such as Rosamunde Pilcher, Inga Lindström, Lena Lorenz and Katie Fforde, as well as family-oriented series including Our Charly and Hello Robbie, broadening TV2’s appeal across demographics.

The agreement further strengthens the long-standing partnership between ZDF Studios and TV2, reinforcing ZDF Studios’ position in Central and Eastern Europe. As the commercial subsidiary of Germany’s public broadcaster ZDF, ZDF Studios is responsible for global programme distribution, international co-productions, licensing and brand exploitation, managing one of the world’s largest German-language content catalogues.
