Emmy-winning creator Noah Hawley is set to direct and produce a reimagining of the Argentine supernatural horror hit Terrified (Aterrados) for Warner Bros.
Originally directed by Demián Rugna in 2017, the film followed a team of paranormal investigators probing inexplicable events in a Buenos Aires neighborhood.
Hawley will develop the project in close collaboration with Rugna, producing it under his Austin-based banner, 26 Keys. This move adds to Hawley’s prestigious career, which includes 70 Emmy nominations for the Fargo anthology series and the successful launch of Alien: Earth last August. Rugna, who recently solidified his status in the horror genre with the critically acclaimed When Evil Lurks, remains an integral part of this new vision for the supernatural thriller.
