Charlie Covell, the brilliant mind behind The End of the F*ing World and Kaos is currently developing So Gay for You: Friendship, Found Family, and the Show That Started It All.
The exciting new comedy series developed for Amazon MGM Studios is written by iconic The L Word stars Kate Moennig and Leisha Hailey. In a move that will surely thrill fans, Moennig and Hailey are set to lead the series as well as serve as executive producers.
So Gay for You offers an intimate and humorous look at female friendship, specifically navigating life and identity in the wake of the massive global fame brought by The L Word. It promises to explore the “post-show” reality of the duo, blending elements of their real-life bond with a fictionalized comedic narrative about staying relevant and connected in Hollywood.
Covell will serve as the creator and showrunner, joined by a high-profile production team including Jessica Rhoades (Black Mirror). Interestingly, this isn’t Covell’s only major project at the studio, as they are also simultaneously working on the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of the popular video game Life Is Strange for Amazon.
