Richard Gadd’s highly anticipated new series Half Man is set to premiere on HBO on April 23, 2026, followed by its BBC debut just one day later.
Starring Richard Gadd as Ruben and Jamie Bell as Niall, the drama also features Mitchell Robertson and Stuart Campbell portraying the lead characters in their younger years.
Exploring powerful themes of brotherhood, loyalty, anger, and violence, Half Man spans a vast timeline from the 1980s to the present day. Gadd, who underwent a striking physical transformation for this role, departs from his Baby Reindeer persona to deliver a much tougher and more volatile performance.
The story kicks off with a tense confrontation when Ruben unexpectedly appears at Niall’s wedding, triggering a violent reckoning that forces both men to face their shared past. Written and executive produced by Gadd himself, the series is brought to life under the direction of Alexandra Brodski and Eshref Reybrouck.
