The Return of Stanley Atwell explores the chaos that ensues when the titular heir, Stanley Atwell (played by Nicholas Galitzine), unexpectedly returns to his family estate after a decade in mysterious captivity.
His sudden reappearance, after being presumed dead, ignites a fierce battle over the family fortune, as his sister Beatrice and close friend Pamela (Purnell) navigate a web of manipulation to maintain their own grip on the Atwell wealth.
The ensemble has further expanded with Damian Lewis, celebrated for his roles in Wolf Hall and Billions, joining as Barnaby Towan. Other notable additions include Jess Alexander (Amadeus), Adrian Rawlins (Slow Horses), and Will Keen (His Dark Materials).
Described by producers as a seductive cinematic experience fueled by betrayal and passion, the narrative unearths the dark secrets and lies upon which the Atwell legacy was built.
