Independent entertainment powerhouse A24 has emerged victorious in a fierce bidding war to secure the global distribution rights for Club Kid, Jordan Firstman’s buzzy feature directorial debut that recently made waves at the Cannes Film Festival under the Un Certain Regard section.

Outbidding major indie and studio competitors including Focus Features, Searchlight, Netflix, and Mubi, A24 landed the highly coveted title in an eight-figure deal driven by intense studio interest. The broad yet touching family comedy stars Firstman himself alongside Cara Delevingne, Babylon breakout Diego Calva, and newcomer Reggie Absolom.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of the New York club scene, Club Kid follows a washed-up party promoter who has spent a decade skating by on dance floors and darkrooms. His lifestyle is turned upside down when the son he never knew he had, the result of a messy encounter ten years prior, suddenly shows up on his doorstep.

Bringing immense prestige behind the camera, the film is produced by Oscar winner Alex Coco (Anora) and Galen Core (Lurker), alongside Topic Studios and co-financier Stay Gold. A24 will distribute the film globally, utilizing its established international network to bring this cinematic standout to theaters.
