The Balance of Power Is Shifting in the New Season Competition
As new-season series returned to the screen one after another in the third week of September, competition began to intensify. Far Away and One Love moved to the top of the week with the first episodes of their new seasons, while Love in the Ashes showed a notable rise in its second episode. Salted Love carried its upward momentum into its third week, while the strong summer-season productions Torn Apart and Different Lives declined this week, particularly in the Total and ABC1 groups. Newcomer Land of the Sun also became one of the week’s notable productions with its first episode.
Weekly Overview
Returning to the screen with the first episode of its new season on Monday evening, Far Away made a strong start with ratings of 7.65 in Total, 6.00 in AB and 6.93 in ABC1. On the same evening, Different Lives declined across all three categories compared with the previous week, scoring 6.76 in Total, 3.89 in AB and 5.51 in ABC1. Marriage Is Beautiful recorded ratings of 2.13 in Total, 3.06 in AB and 2.85 in ABC1; while remaining at the same level in Total, it increased in the AB and ABC1 groups.
On Tuesday evening, Salted Love continued its rise across all three categories with ratings of 5.03 in Total, 6.22 in AB and 6.53 in ABC1. Dignity, which aired its second episode, also increased across all three categories, reaching 4.24 in Total, 3.08 in AB and 3.81 in ABC1. A.B.I. remained below the previous week’s figures with ratings of 3.07 in Total, 2.23 in AB and 2.69 in ABC1. Returning to the screen with its new season, Fatih: Sultan of Conquests recorded ratings of 2.84 in Total, 2.65 in AB and 3.21 in ABC1.
The most notable rise of the week came from Love in the Ashes on Wednesday evening. The series, which recorded 3.54 in Total, 2.24 in AB and 2.85 in ABC1 in its first episode, reached 7.42 in Total, 6.88 in AB and 7.88 in ABC1 in its second episode, showing a major increase across all three categories. Love and Throne, meanwhile, continued its low performance with ratings of 2.09 in Total, 1.75 in AB and 2.07 in ABC1.
On Thursday evening, The One I Love recorded 4.82 in Total, 2.88 in AB and 4.09 in ABC1. Compared with the previous week, the series increased in Total and ABC1 while declining in the AB group. Land of the Sun, which premiered with its first episode, had one of the notable openings of the new season with ratings of 4.66 in Total, 3.91 in AB and 4.25 in ABC1. Love, Probably recorded 2.37 in Total, 2.59 in AB and 2.61 in ABC1. The Beşiktaş–Marseille match, which also attracted high viewing figures that evening, increased the competition faced by the series.
Returning to the screen with its new season on Friday evening, One Love recorded ratings of 5.86 in Total, 5.47 in AB and 6.31 in ABC1, placing it among the five most-watched series of the week in all three categories.
On Saturday evening, Sins and Roses reached 4.63 in Total, 2.95 in AB and 3.82 in ABC1 in its second episode, increasing across all three categories. Villa Coral recorded 2.74 in Total, 2.25 in AB and 2.83 in ABC1, declining in Total while increasing in the AB and ABC1 groups. An Anatolian Tale remained below the previous week’s figures across all three categories, with ratings of 2.72 in Total, 1.86 in AB and 2.18 in ABC1.
On Sunday evening, Torn Apart recorded ratings of 7.05 in Total, 6.00 in AB and 6.86 in ABC1. Compared with the previous week, the series declined in Total and ABC1 while showing a slight increase in the AB group. Returning to the screen with its new season, The Shadow Team reached 3.95 in Total, 3.53 in AB and 3.78 in ABC1, while Ugly, which aired its first episode, began its new season with ratings of 2.11 in Total, 1.89 in AB and 2.31 in ABC1.
