As Episode Magazine, we are taking a look at weekly ratings across Turkish television.
Due to the holiday break, the television landscape experienced a quieter week as the usual broadcast flow slowed down. While many series aired reruns instead of new episodes, game shows and daytime programming gained more prominence in the weekly ratings. Despite this, the season’s leading productions managed to remain at the center of the agenda.
The strongest performance of the week came from Deep in Love (Taşacak Bu Deniz), which aired a new episode during the holiday. The series secured 11.44 ratings in Total and 11.11 in ABC1, making it the week’s top-rated production. However, the general downward trend in viewership also impacted Deep in Love. The show, which recorded 13.03 ratings in the ABC1 group the previous week, experienced a loss of approximately 1.92 points following the episode revealing the “big secret,” and it also fell from 12.89 to 11.44 in Total.
Although Far Away did not air a new episode this week, its rerun on Monday, May 25, achieved 3.48 ratings in the ABC1 category, surpassing the new episode of its rival, Survivor.
A significant development of the week was the premiere of Kanal D’s new series, Torn Apart. Achieving 3.19 in Total, 2.17 in AB, and 3.02 in ABC1 ratings with its first episode, the show placed second in the ABC1 group, right behind The Shadow Team. On that same night, The Shadow Team 5.56 in Total, 4.00 in AB, and 5.31 in ABC1. This result for Torn Apart is viewed as a promising start as the holiday break concludes.
