Go Türkiye’s mini-series project, developed by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), is turning its attention to the Northern Aegean with Tell Me Troy. Now completed, the series will showcase the region’s historical and cultural riches through a story spanning key destinations across Çanakkale, Balıkesir and İzmir.

Having released 10 mini-series to date, Go Türkiye continues to expand its international reach, with its productions generating 10.5 billion impressions and 6.5 billion views. Produced by Storymagez, Tell Me Troy is co-directed by Emre Kavuk and Mustafa Uğur Yağcıoğlu. Halit Özgür Sarı stars as Aras, alongside Özge Yağız as Bade.

A Journey Connecting Mythology and Romance

Tell Me Troy follows a group of film students who leave Istanbul in search of creative inspiration for their graduation projects. Their journey through the Northern Aegean draws on the epic worlds of Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey. As the students struggle to complete their screenplays, they find themselves caught up in a series of unexpected events.

The adventure also brings Aras and Bade back to a love story left unfinished in the past. Blending youthful ambition with romance and adventure, the series connects the region’s mythological heritage with a contemporary story of rediscovery.

From Troy to Foça: The Northern Aegean on Tell Me Troy

The series was filmed across a route showcasing the Northern Aegean’s archaeological landmarks and natural beauty. Locations include Troy, Assos, Mount Ida (Kaz Dağları), Antandros, Cunda, Bergama and Foça, bringing the region’s ancient history, mythological stories and distinctive cultural character into the narrative.

Combining adventure, romance and cultural exploration, Tell Me Troy aims to introduce the Northern Aegean’s diverse destinations to audiences around the world. The series forms the latest addition to Go Türkiye’s international tourism promotion efforts, presenting the region’s historical heritage alongside its striking landscapes.
