Sphere Abacus Announces Substantial Unscripted Sales as it Nears Realscreen 2026

Leading UK-based distributor Sphere Abacus (SA) announces a raft of sales of premium unscripted series, created by a number of independent award-winning producers, ahead of Realscreen Summit 2026.

Killer Kings (6 x one hour), a FirstLookTV production, has sold to BBC Select US/Canada, Prima Group Czech Republic, RTL Germany, Foxtel Group (Australia) and Viasat World (CEE, Baltics, CIS, and in the Nordics for Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden).

Freddie Mercury: A Secret Daughter? (1 x 90 minutes), a Honey Bee Media production, has been acquired by RTL+ Hungary, Channel Nine Australia, Yes TV Israel, Channel HOT8 Israel and TVNZ New Zealand.

Brinkworth Productions’ series The Real Unforgotten: The Unsolved Murder of Carol Morgan (2 x one hour) has been sold to Play Media Belgium, BBC Select US/Canada and Sky Germany and Cold Case Investigators (2 x one hour) to TV2 Denmark, Foxtel Group (Australia) and Sky Germany.

Foxtel Group (Australia), Sky Germany, Channel HOT8 Israel and Yes TV Israel have all picked up Secret Sex Lives of Tyrants (6 x one hour) produced by Perpetual Entertainment.

Prince William: A Life In Pictures (1 x 45 minutes), produced by Air TV, has sold to Radial Entertainment US, SBS Australia, TVP Poland, CBC Canada and Estonian Public Broadcasting.

Tomos TV’s production, Queens of Combat: Rome’s Female Gladiators (1 x 55 minutes), has been secured by Rai Italy, Czech TV, Viasat World (CEE, Baltics, CIS and Nordics), BBC Earth South Africa and France TV.

I’m Carl Lewis! (1 x 99 minutes), a Noah Media Group production, has been acquired by Madman Australia, Canal + France, Yes TV Israel and VRT Belgium.

Spacewoman (1 x 95 minutes), from Haviland Digital & Tigerlily Productions, has sold to Czech TV, Channel HOT8 Israel, Yes TV Israel, Canal + France, BBC Earth South Africa and VRT Belgium.

Apollo 1 (1 x 102 minutes), produced by Stopwatch Productions, 7T1 Films and Haviland Digital, has sold to Channel HOT8 Israel, SIA Lithuania, Foxtel Group (Australia) and BBC Earth South Africa.
