Netflix has announced several major additions to the cast of its upcoming television adaptation of the iconic video game franchise Assassin’s Creed.

The series continues to build momentum as it brings together a growing ensemble of international talent.

The latest actors to join the project include Noomi Rapace, Ramzy Bedia, Sean Harris and Corrado Invernizzi. Details about the characters they will portray are currently being kept under wraps. They join a previously announced cast that includes Lola Petticrew, Toby Wallace, Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus and Tanzyn Crawford.

The series is being developed by showrunners and executive producers Roberto Patino and David Wiener. The story centers on the long-running secret war between two powerful factions, one determined to shape humanity’s future through control and manipulation, and the other fighting to protect free will. As the conflict unfolds, characters find themselves navigating pivotal moments throughout history while battling to influence the destiny of humankind.

Originally launched in 2007, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has sold more than 230 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the most successful video game properties in history. The brand previously made its way to the big screen with the 2016 film Assassin’s Creed, directed by Justin Kurzel and starring Michael Fassbender in the lead role.

The new series will join Netflix’s growing slate of video game adaptations, alongside titles such as Castlevania, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and the upcoming Splinter Cell: Deathwatch.
