Netflix has dropped the first trailer for the cop thriller The Rip, starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
The film is directed by Joe Carnahan and centers on a Miami-Dade narcotics team that discovers $20 million in cash during a raid. This discovery affects trust, morality and power dynamics within the team.
While Damon’s character receives a promotion, his long-standing friendship with Affleck’s character begins to crack. The story focuses on the blurring of the line between cop and criminal.
The Rip premieres on Netflix on Jan. 16.
