The highly anticipated series Kalpazan (The Counterfeiter), produced by O3 Medya and executive-produced by Saner Ayar, has officially started production. The lead cast, including Timuçin Esen, Çağlar Ertuğrul, Şükran Ovalı, and Deniz Baysal, recently gathered for their first script reading.
Directed by Uğur Karaaslan with creative direction by Mehmet Ada Öztekin Kalpazan features a script written by Sema Ali Erol, Mahir Erol, Ayşenur Sıkı, and Türküler Özgül.
‘Kalpazan’ Synopsis
The series follows the story of Adem (Timuçin Esen), a principled man working as a modest employee at the State Mint. A seemingly innocent surprise for his son Arda turns Adem’s life upside down, leading him down a path of irreversible ruin. As he faces losing his job, his wife Canan (Şükran Ovalı), and even his son, his brother Kartal (Çağlar Ertuğrul) a charismatic but cunning con artist, re-enters his life, complicating matters further. Meanwhile, Police Officer Ayşe (Deniz Baysal) emerges as the only person capable of bringing both brothers to justice. Kartal’s unexpected love for Ayşe adds another layer of complexity to the unfolding drama.
