Warner Bros. Discovery has signed a new distribution deal with Prime Video to expand HBO Max’s footprint across Europe.

HBO Max will be offered as an add-on subscription via Prime Video in Italy, Germany, and Austria through Prime Video. The platform is now live in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Israel, and Greece, expanding its reach to more than 100 countries worldwide.

The UK and Ireland launches are scheduled for March, which will complete HBO Max’s European rollout.

In Germany, HBO Max will be available as part of a bundle with RTL+, with a similar offering planned for Austria. In Switzerland, HBO Max is launching in partnership with Sunrise and Swisscom; in Israel, through Hot and Yes; and in Greece, via Vodafone.

Across the eight new markets, subscribers will gain access to HBO Originals, Max Originals, Warner Bros. films, DC universe, and sports add-ons, which will include the coverage of Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games and Australian Open.

In Italy, WBD has entered into a strategic partnership with TIM, with the platform set to be integrated into TimVision.

Standout titles available on the platform include A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, The Pitt, Mare of Easttown and Sharp Objects.
