Lux Vide, a Fremantle company, has officially begun production on a new drama series inspired by the life and legacy of fashion icon Giorgio Armani. Acclaimed Turkish-Italian filmmaker Ferzan Ozpetek will direct the project.
Best known internationally for films such as Hamam (Steam: The Turkish Bath), The Ignorant Fairies and Diamonds, Ozpetek has built a reputation for his character-driven storytelling and visually distinctive style. He also co-wrote the series with Francesco Arlanch.
The series will trace Armani’s journey from ambitious entrepreneur to one of the most influential figures in global fashion, exploring the vision, creativity and determination that reshaped both the luxury industry and the meaning of “Made in Italy.”
Giorgio Armani has partnered with the production, giving the creative team access to the fashion house’s archives, iconic designs and historic locations to ensure an authentic portrayal of his life and career.
Produced by Lux Vide in association with Faros Film, the series aims to celebrate Armani’s lasting influence on fashion while offering an intimate look at the man behind one of the world’s most respected luxury brands.
