Ferzan Özpetek’s ‘Istanbul Trilogy: Meze – Music – Muhabbet’ Had a Special Screening in Rome

A cross-cultural maestro Ferzan Özpetek’s new Netflix Italy project Istanbul Trilogy, consisting of three short films about his love for Istanbul and Turkish gastronomy. Istanbul Trilogy: Meze-Muzik-Muhabbet, was presented to the public for the first time with a special screening at Casa Del Cinema in Rome on October 4.

The special screening of the film, which was released on Netflix Italy on the same day, was attended by guests from Italy’s cultural and artistic community as well as celebrities from Turkey such as Özge Özpirinçci, Demet Evgar, Mehmet Günsür, Yıldırım Türker, Ali Gürsoy. After the screening, a dinner was held. As a surprise, the guests received a special treat from Mey|Diageo, which also supported the trilogy.

The first film in the Istanbul Trilogy, Meze stars Ahsen Eroğlu, Serra Yılmaz, Ayta Sözeri and Aslı İnandık. Burak Yamantürk and Yiğit Kirazcı are the stars of second film Music and Kubilay Aka stars in third film Muhabbet. Shot in Istanbul and Rome, Istanbul Trilogy was produced by Erhan Güven (TORK) and Ender Sevim (Depo Film).
