Disney Gives Gaston His Own Live-Action Film

A live-action remake for the Beauty and the Beast character, Gaston, is in the works.

The project is still in its early development stages; however, Disney has brought Dave Callaham on board to write the script. The company also enlisted Michele Rejwan as the producer. The director is yet to be determined.

The movie will put a new spin on the iconic villain and will not reprise the previous casting of the character. Sources say the Disney movie will have “swashbuckling” tones to it.

Gaston was previously brought to life by Luke Evans in the live-action remake and a TV series with the actor was considered, but later scrapped.
