The world-renowned game show format Deal or No Deal is making a high-profile comeback to screens in Türkiye and the Philippines as part of its ongoing global “renaissance.”
Under a new agreement with Banijay Entertainment, the classic format will debut on Türkiye’s national broadcaster ATV, marking a new era for the show in the region with an in-house production strategy. This revival is mirrored in the Philippines, where ABS-CBN is relaunching the legendary Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal, a series that originally built a massive legacy before ending in 2016.
Originally a Dutch creation from 2002, Deal or No Deal format previously became a cultural phenomenon in Türkiye between 2007 and 2010 under the title Var mısın? Yok musun?, airing over 350 episodes and capturing the nation’s attention.
The brand’s recent surge in momentum is evident globally, with successful new versions launching in 13 territories, including recent revivals on ITV in the UK and Network Ten in Australia. By choosing to produce these new iterations in-house, both ATV and ABS-CBN are signaling a commitment to tailoring the high-stakes excitement of the “banker” and the iconic briefcases to their specific local cultures and modern audience dynamics.
As the franchise strengthens its international footprint, this 2026 expansion proves that the simple yet thrilling premise of the “deal” remains a cornerstone of premium unscripted entertainment.
