Cineflix Rights has secured three international pre-sales for Senna: The Last Race, a three-part limited documentary series examining the death of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna and its impact on motorsport.
Produced by Canadian companies C3 Media and Yap Films, the series has been licensed to Warner Bros. Discovery for Latin America, SBS in Australia and Bell Media in Canada ahead of its international market launch at MIPCOM 2026.
Senna: The Last Race: Revisiting Senna’s final race
Senna: The Last Race revisits the events surrounding Senna’s fatal crash during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix weekend. The series follows the investigators who sought to determine what caused the accident, while examining the wider consequences for Formula 1 and motorsport safety.
The production combines interviews with investigators, friends and eyewitnesses with technical analysis and personal accounts. Alongside reconstructing the circumstances of the crash, the series explores the safety measures introduced in its aftermath and Senna’s lasting influence on the sport.
Richard Life, SVP Acquisitions and Co-productions at Cineflix Rights, said the company had supported the project from its early stages, pointing to Senna’s international profile and the strength of the documentary approach.
With three deals already secured before MIPCOM, Cineflix Rights will take the series to Cannes as part of its international distribution strategy.
