Canela Media has announced the launch of Zully, an innovative AI-powered microdrama platform designed to revolutionize vertical content.
Unveiled by CEO Isabel Rafferty Zavala, Zully is positioned as an “AI-native” platform that merges AI-generated storytelling with live-action production to serve drama lovers who have historically been underserved by the industry.
The platform aims for an ambitious output, planning to premiere up to 30 new scripted vertical series every month.
Operating as a free, ad-supported service (AVoD), Zully is set for a global launch later this year with content available in both English and Spanish. By focusing exclusively on scripted drama and leveraging advanced AI tools, the company intends to make the fast-growing microdrama category more diverse and representative of global audiences.
This strategic expansion builds on Canela Media’s existing reach, aiming to capture the momentum of short-form entertainment while providing a more inclusive space for creators and viewers alike.
