Bennu Yıldırımlar, one of the actors of Show TV’s new series “Kara”, which will start airing this week, produced by Most Production and produced by Murat Can Oğuz, talked about Sema Sultan and her firsts in the project.

Stating that Sema Sultan is a mysterious character, Yıldırımlar aged 20 years for this project. “For the first time in a project in which I performed, I was given an ageing make-up. It was an interesting experience to be the old age of the character with a special make-up made by Gila Benezra.

Our set atmosphere is also very good, thanks to our director Ender Mıhlar, we continue our set by enjoying every moment and everything. Our child actors are also brilliant. It is a team that I am happy to work with.”

SEMA SULTAN IS A VERY MYSTERIOUS CHARACTER

Yıldırımlar describes her character as follows; “Sema Sultan will continue to exist in the story as a mysterious character for the audience. With flashbacks, her character will gain more meaning for the audience. She played a role in shaping Kara’s character. I don’t want to give too many spoilers here, but as the grandmother of 3 children, she is a person who somehow determines how they will continue their lives and how they will perceive life.

Like every character in our series, she maintains her mystery. Our series is about the intersection and reckoning of the lives of two families as a result of an event.”

‘BIG SURPRISES AWAIT THE AUDIENCE’

Stating that Kara will be a different alternative with its unlike other scenarios, the specialness of the story and the way it is handled, the actress summarises what awaits the audience as follows; “I can already say that big surprises await the audience. I think that Kara will offer a different alternative to the audience with its strong cast and original script that contains mysteries.”

Directed by Ender Mıhlar and co-written by Ayberk Çınar, Murat Can Oğuz and Aslı Gönülay, Kara will showcase the struggle of Kara (İlker Kaleli), who takes action to hold accountable those who turned her family’s life upside down, together with Zeynep (Öykü Karayel), with whom she crosses paths surprisingly.
Kara starts this Thursday at 20.00 on Show TV.
