ATV Distribution has announced the first international licensing agreement for its hit drama Different Lives (Altı Üstü İstanbul), with streaming platform Noor Play acquiring the series for the MENA region.

The deal will bring the series to audiences across 20 countries, where it will premiere simultaneously with its broadcast in Türkiye.

Since debuting on ATV in June, Different Lives has emerged as one of the network’s strongest new dramas, attracting viewers with its emotional storytelling, layered characters, and contemporary portrait of life in Istanbul.

The series follows Emir, a gifted young footballer determined to lift his family out of poverty while honoring his late father’s dreams. His life is forever changed after his disabled brother, Bahtiyar, dies during a violent football match. Unaware that the tragedy is tied to the son of influential businessman Galip, Emir accepts an opportunity to join Galip’s football club, setting him on a path filled with unexpected revelations.

As he navigates a world divided by wealth, influence, and ambition, Emir becomes entangled in rivalries that extend far beyond the pitch. Along the way, he meets a young woman who challenges his perspective, while long-hidden truths surrounding his brother’s death begin to surface. Faced with impossible choices, Emir must decide whether to protect the future he has always wanted or risk everything in pursuit of justice.

Blending family drama, romance, suspense, and the universal passion for football, Different Lives explores themes of social inequality, resilience, and self-discovery. With its first international sale now confirmed, the series begins its global rollout as ATV Distribution continues to expand its reach in key international markets.

Müge Akar, ATV’s Group Head of Sales & Distribution, said:

“The early success of Different Lives demonstrates the strength of its story and characters. We are pleased to launch the series internationally through this first MENA deal and look forward to bringing this compelling drama to audiences across many more territories.”
