AMC Networks has expanded its thematic pay-TV portfolio in Spain with the launch of AMC Western, a new channel dedicated entirely to the Western genre. Set to debut on February 10, the channel aims to become a definitive destination for fans of classic, European and contemporary Western cinema.

AMC Western will showcase landmark titles from the golden age of Hollywood alongside later reinterpretations of the genre, featuring works by legendary directors such as John Ford, Sergio Leone, Sam Peckinpah, Howard Hawks, and Quentin Tarantino. The lineup includes films starring iconic figures like John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Henry Fonda, Charlton Heston, and Paul Newman.

AMC Networks’ channel will be available across multiple platforms in Spain, including Vodafone, Orange, DIGI, and Amazon Prime Video via AMC Channels. Its launch will be marked by a special John Ford tribute, followed by themed weekend programming and a monthly spotlight on major figures of the genre. February’s programming will focus on John Wayne, with films spanning his career, including True Grit, El Dorado, and The Shootist.

According to AMC Networks, AMC Western is designed not only to celebrate undisputed classics but also to reintroduce lesser-known titles, offering audiences a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the Western genre.
