A major figure in world cinema, Bahman Ghobadi, is directing the Open the Door original. The director previously achieved significant success in festivals with his films Turtles Can Fly, A Time For Drunken Horses and No One Knows About Persian Cats. He is stepping into the horror-thriller genre with this movie.
The film, a significant portion of which is known to have been shot in Türkiye, will bring Istanbul and Mardin to the screens. The project, which will bring together Türkiye’s production quality with the international film world, is preparing to meet its audience. When asked about the release date of The Trees, the production company replied, “very soon”.
