Hulu has renewed the hit drama series Paradise, created by Dan Fogelman and starring Sterling K. Brown, for a third season.
The announcement comes ahead of the Season 2 finale, which is set to air on March 30, following a three-episode drop of the season on February 23.
The post-apocalyptic drama has consistently ranked among Hulu’s “Top 15 Today” and has earned praise from both critics and audiences. Season 2 alone amassed 30 million hours of viewing, while the first season contributed an additional 25 million hours, bringing the show’s total global viewership to nearly 12 billion minutes. Season 1 also received four Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, with lead performances by Brown, James Marsden, and Julianne Nicholson recognized for acting nods.
At the heart of Paradise is Xavier (Brown), who emerges from the Paradise bunker in search of his wife Teri (Enuka Okuma), discovering how various survivor groups managed to stay alive during the three years following Earth’s destruction. As Xavier navigates this treacherous world, the narrative explores the darker side of human nature, revealing tensions, betrayals, and deadly conflicts within the Colorado community. The series doesn’t shy away from the moral complexity of survival, showing how desperation can lead to violence and calculated decisions with life-or-death consequences.
Season 2’s ensemble cast includes Brown, Nicholson, Okuma, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans, with recurring guest appearances by Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers. Produced by 20th Television, the series is executive produced by Fogelman alongside Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra, John Requa, and Brown.
