The first trailer for The Testaments has been released, offering a first look at the sequel series set in the universe of The Handmaid’s Tale.
The series is based on the novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood and will premiere on Hulu on April 8, with the first three episodes dropping on launch day.
Set four years after the events of the original series’ finale, the story shifts its focus to the perspective of young women growing up inside Gilead.
At the center of The Testaments is Agnes, the new identity of June’s kidnapped daughter Hannah. The character is played by Chase Infiniti.
The cast also includes Ann Dowd, returning as Aunt Lydia, alongside Rowan Blanchard and Lucy Halliday. While Elisabeth Moss has not been confirmed to appear on screen, she is involved in the project as a producer. The Testaments is created and showrun by Bruce Miller.

The trailer highlights the darker side of the system in Gilead, where young girls are raised and prepared to become “wives.”
As the story unfolds, the connection between Agnes and Daisy, a young woman from outside Gilead, becomes a key part of a growing resistance against the regime.
