Exciting news has emerged from the Cannes Film Market regarding the production of The One Before The One, a new YA romance launched by Blue Fox Entertainment that blends time-travel elements with a nostalgic 90s atmosphere.

The film features a talented ensemble cast led by Charlie Gillespie (Julie and the Phantoms), Sara Waisglass (Ginny & Georgia), and Siena Agudong. The story follows Steven (Gillespie), a burnt-out Wall Street analyst who returns to his hometown for a high school reunion, only to be inexplicably transported back to his senior year. Determined to rewrite history with his “lost love” Beth (Agudong), Steven eventually realizes that the version of her he spent twenty years idealizing may not be the soulmate he remembered.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of the late 90s, complete with Nokia phones, alternative rock, and the looming Y2K panic, the film serves as the feature directorial debut for Brittany Sarkisian, who also penned the script. Production is slated to begin on July 6 in Austin, Texas.

According to the producers, The One Before The One offers a fresh and heartfelt take on the universal desire to relive pivotal moments with the wisdom of hindsight, promising a deeply relatable experience for global audiences.
