SPI International announced a new partnership with THEMATIC CHANNELS sales house in Romania.

Following the launch of the DIZI Romania dedicated feed in February 2025, THEMATIC CHANNELS has been appointed the exclusive representative for the channel’s advertising sales. The agreement with one of the leading TV sales players on the market concerns the popular Turkish TV series channel and has been effective since March 1st.

DIZI is one of SPI International’s key brands and the only TV channel in its portfolio that takes viewers on an exciting journey into the world of Turkish series. The channel showcasing Turkish content has gained popularity among Romanian audiences since its launch in 2019. SPI International is now taking another step in the channel’s development in the market.

In line with SPI’s commitment to provide exceptional entertainment and services to global audiences and business partners, the company launched a new version of the DIZI channel in February, tailored for the Romanian market, featuring an enriched selection of content. Following this change, SPI has joined forces with THEMATIC CHANNELS sales house, which started representing DIZI in Romania on the 1st of March.

We have made a strategic move by entering Romania as a new market with DIZI advertising sales. Not only we are launching advertising on this channel for the first time, but we are also adding Romania as another market after Poland, Czechia and Hungary in the CEE region, where we are present with TV advertising sales. After enhancing the DIZI’s value proposition in Romania by introducing individual feed featuring dedicated content selections, we feel delighted to announce the partnership with THEMATIC CHANNELS as the next step. Launching ad sales on DIZI with such a recognized partner is a promise of great collaboration.” – said Erwan Luherne, Managing Director at SPI International

Radu Budes, Managing Partner at THEMATIC CHANNELS comments: “We are thrilled to open the advertising sales for SPI International, a CANAL+ company, on the Romanian market and welcome DIZI to our portfolio. SPI International is a media powerhouse brand that Romanian viewers have known for years, and it stand to benefit from the local openness and interest to thematic stations. DIZI joins the second most important segment of the television market – the movie & series stations – which has posted a 28% year-on-year audience increase, the second growth rate within all tv clusters in 2024. We are launching our strategic partnership on a TV market that has grown in both consolidated audience and advertising revenue.”

March highlights include Mehmed, a historical drama that brings the life and legacy of Sultan Mehmed II, A Part of Me, a series about a couple who tries to fulfill their dream of having a child facing complications, and The Innocents, a Turkish drama which follows an ordinary girl moving into the apartment owned by a rich and problematic family. Earlier this year, DIZI also brought two premiere titles to the channel – the love story Hold My Hand and My Champion, about a young and talented boxer who faces dramatic changes in his life.
