The possible sale of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has been one of the biggest topics in the U.S. media world over the past few weeks, with major players trying to get involved. Paramount Skydance, Comcast and Netflix were all said to be interested in acquiring the company.

According to recent reports, Netflix has now entered exclusive talks to purchase WBD’s film and TV studios along with its streaming business, including HBO Max. If the deal is finalized, Netflix would take over Warner Bros.’ entire library, the DC universe, its comic book characters, the Harry Potter franchise, HBO’s original series, and all the film studio’s intellectual property.

As talks advanced, Paramount Skydance raised objections about how the sale is being handled. The company said it “has a credible basis to believe that the sales process has been tainted by management conflicts, including certain members of management’s potential personal interests in post-transaction roles and compensation.”

Despite these objections, industry experts expect Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery to announce an agreement very soon. Reports also suggests that WBD is planning to separate some of its cable networks,  including CNN, TBS, TNT, TruTV and Discovery Channel, ahead of any deal.
