DeAPlaneta Entertainment is expanding the world of Milo with a third season of the preschool series, set to premiere in 2027. The new season will consist of 52 episodes and introduce new characters, professions and songs while placing greater emphasis on visual humor and music.

The upcoming episodes will continue to follow Milo and his friends Lofty and Lark as they explore different careers through play and imagination, while adding new elements to the franchise’s established format.

New Characters Join Milo’s World

Season three will introduce Twilo, Milo’s younger sister, whose mischievous and spontaneous personality will bring a new dynamic to the group’s adventures.

Another new addition is LZ Bones, a preteen character known for his laid-back approach to problem-solving. He will join Milo, Lofty and Lark as they take on new career-themed adventures.

The new season will see the characters explore professions including electrician, sailor, food critic and interior designer, continuing the series’ focus on introducing young audiences to the world of work through imaginative play.

Carlos Biern, Content and Media Sales Director at DeAPlaneta Kids & Family, describes the third season as a new stage in the franchise’s development:

“If the first season represented discovery and the second, consolidation, the third season marks a new stage in Milo’s journey, as his character, family, and friends continue to grow within the world of Milotown.”

He adds that the new season will introduce new professions and characters, supported by “a strong musical component” that reinforces the brand’s positive spirit.

Music Takes a Bigger Role

The creative team for season three includes Sascha Paladino, who leads development, with Sam Barlow and Lisa Akhurst writing the scripts. Gustavo Branger and Global Music Branding are overseeing music production.

Music will play a more prominent role throughout the 52 episodes, while the storytelling will also incorporate a stronger visual-comedy approach.

A Long-Term Franchise Strategy

The third season is part of a broader expansion plan for Milo. Diego Ibáñez Belaustegui, Chief Brand Officer at DeAPlaneta Entertainment, says the company has established a long-term roadmap for the franchise:

“Bringing SETT and Amuse on board has allowed us to put a very ambitious, long-term plan in place for Milo, looking more than five years ahead.”

The roadmap includes four new seasons, two feature films and a video game developed with an international publisher. The next phase will begin in 2027 with the launch of season three and the game.

Milo Heads to MIPCOM

Following an initial preview at Milano Licensing Day, DeAPlaneta Entertainment will showcase the latest developments around Milo at several international industry events.

At Brand Licensing Europe, the company will present “The Journey to a Global Brand” on October 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the Networking Hub. At MIPCOM/MIPJunior, visitors to the DeAPlaneta Entertainment booth (R7.D19) will be able to see Twilo in action for the first time. Rainbow Designs will also unveil its new Milo master toy line at Toy Previews LA.

With new characters, professions and songs, season three marks another step in the expansion of Milo as DeAPlaneta Entertainment continues to develop the brand across television, licensing, gaming and feature films.
