Global media technology company Merzigo is entering a new phase of growth with the launch of four new businesses and a $200 million commitment to content investment in 2027.
The new businesses are Merzigo Studios, Merzigo Platforms, Merzigo Ad Alliance and Merzigo Academy. They will expand the company beyond its established content distribution and monetization operations across YouTube and Facebook.
The announcement follows the company’s full deployment of its $150 million content investment commitment for 2026. During the year, the company onboarded more than 20 new partners, funded more than 2,000 hours of YouTube-first content and invested in more than 100 hours of scripted programming.
Four New Businesses Under One
Merzigo Studios will focus on content investment, licensing and production, spanning YouTube-first, scripted and unscripted projects. Merzigo Platforms will bring together the company’s technology, product and engineering operations, while Merzigo Ad Alliance will operate as an independent advertising sales business, initially launching across EMEA.
The Academy, established in 2021, will expand its talent and training operations. The Academy has already trained close to 1,500 people and offers professional development across more than 15 functions and 96 topics.
Together, the four businesses will allow the company to work across a wider part of the content lifecycle, from rights acquisition and financing to production, distribution and monetization.
Yigit Dogan Celik, Chairman & CEO, said:
We have built Merzigo around a powerful core monetization business, and over the past several years have developed significant capabilities in content, technology, advertising and talent around it. Bringing these businesses together as distinct companies marks the next stage of that development.”

$200 Million Content Investment for 2027
After deploying its $150 million commitment in 2026, the company will increase its content investment to $200 million next year.
The investment will focus on strategic agreements with studios, broadcasters and producers; licensing premium content and rights for new territories and platforms; and direct investment through Merzigo Studios in YouTube-first, scripted and unscripted productions.
Ceyda Sıla Çetinkaya, LL.M., COO, Merzigo Global, said:
We successfully deployed the $150 million we committed to content investment in 2026, and that investment has enabled us to expand our partner base, invest in thousands of hours of content and deepen our relationships across the global media industry. We are now increasing that commitment to $200 million for 2027, with the US at the heart of our next phase of growth.”
U.S. Becomes Key Growth Market
The United States will be the company’s primary growth market in 2027, with the company targeting deeper relationships with U.S. studios, broadcasters, producers and talent.
The investment will support U.S. content and rights acquisitions, licensing, local production and YouTube-first projects with international potential, while the company continues to expand across the UK and EMEA.
The company is also preparing a new global identity for the wider “One Merzigo” ecosystem. The new branding will be unveiled globally ahead of MIPCOM Cannes 2026.
