MediaHub announces a new distribution agreement with esteemed production house Gauchos del Mar to bring the company’s premium documentary selection to audiences around the world. This agreement expands MediaHub’s documentary offerings with acclaimed titles from Argentine filmmakers Juliani and Joaquin Azulay, including their namesake film Gauchos del Mar, as well as African Territory and Transcending Waves.

Since their first film in 2012, the Azulay brothers have received more than fifty international awards at film festivals and earned a reputation for cinematic storytelling that explores cultural and environmental themes through epic journeys across continents. Their work highlights remote communities and conservation efforts in places ranging from Patagonia to Antarctica, delivered with their own unique personal approach.

Driven by a family passion for surfing and exploration, the Azulay brothers have been traveling and making films since 2010, when they embarked on a cross-continental adventure through the Americas. In the 15 years they’ve been on the move, their seven expeditions across seven continents have resulted in eight documentary films, five series, and 64 awards, raising awareness of critical issues.

While MediaHub has built a strong reputation with scripted titles such as Alaca, which recently topped charts in Ecuador, its documentary slate has been equally vital to the company’s growth. Previous licensing of its documentary content to major European players such as AMC Networks and RTL Media Group has paved the way in the non-scripted space, securing multi-territory deals for docuseries. By balancing compelling drama with thought-provoking documentaries, MediaHub continues to broaden its offerings and engage global audiences.

“A diverse portfolio has always been a key component of our strategy. In today’s landscape, documentary storytelling plays a more important role than ever; engaging global audiences, sparking awareness, and delivering purpose-driven narratives. We’re proud to represent this unique collection of titles and look forward to contributing to their expansion,” said Oguzhan Ertek, Commercial Director at MediaHub.

Julian Azulay, co-founder of Gauchos del Mar, also commented on the deal: “We are thrilled to start with this new alliance and looking forward to exploring new markets together.”
