Disney+ has greenlit Mad Love, a new romantic comedy-drama from Element Pictures and Sinestra, with Fremantle overseeing the project.
Disney+ EMEA has commissioned Mad Love, a new UK Original created and written by playwright Kate Cortesi. The series is produced by Element Pictures and Sinestra, with Fremantle also attached to the production.
The series follows Maddy Caruso, a British wedding planner who has built a new life in the Italian countryside, where she works with a diverse group of demanding clients. Known for making even the most complicated events work, Maddy appears to have everything under control professionally. Her personal life, however, tells a very different story.
After an incident involving the first man she truly fell for, Maddy leaves London and moves to Italy, leaving behind her sister and best friend, Evie. But when her past catches up with her, the carefully constructed life she has built begins to unravel.
