Beta Cinema has boarded worldwide sales for the political thriller Keep Her Quiet.

The film is directed by BAFTA Award winner and Academy Award–shortlisted filmmaker Franz Böhm, and co-directed by Uyghur filmmaker Suli Kurban.

The project is currently in post-production. Distribution across German-speaking territories is already secured. Beta Cinema will officially launch international sales at the upcoming European Film Market (EFM).

Producers include Johannes Schubert, Switzerland’s Contrast Film, Sweden’s Plattform Produktion, and Austria’s Panama Film.

The international cast is led by Cannes Best Actress winner Zar Amir. The ensemble also features Sir Jonathan Pryce, Amir El-Masry, Bahargul Basco, Hiftu Quasem, and Eleanor Matsuura.

The story follows a Washington, D.C.–based journalist whose investigation into unexplained disappearances in Western China puts her and her family at risk.

Keep Her Quiet is inspired by real-life investigative journalism and survivor accounts related to China’s ongoing “re-education” program in Xinjiang.

Positioned as a high-stakes political thriller, the film blends urgent storytelling with strong political relevance.
