K-Content Expo İstanbul Brings New Partnerships to Türkiye

K-Content Expo Türkiye was held at the İstanbul Haliç Congress Center from September 3 to 5, and concluded with strong interest from both countries. The event created a platform for discovering new cooperation opportunities in the content industry and for strengthening cultural and economic ties between Korea and Türkiye.

K-Content Expo: Strong Participation from Korean and Turkish Companies

Thirty leading Korean content companies, including MBC, KBS Media, Kakao Entertainment, Studio S, and Kenaz, joined K-Content Expo alongside major Turkish broadcasters such as ACUNMEDYA, TRT, and Kanal D, paving the way for concrete collaborations. Over the course of the event, a total of 535 business meetings were held, resulting in licensing deals worth approximately USD 19.36 million. In addition, six MOUs were signed between Korean and Turkish companies, including Pawbulous, Aurora World, and PH E&M. These developments laid a solid foundation for mutual growth.

Cultural Programs Draw Great Interest

On September 4, the K-Drama OST Concert featured performances by Huh Gak, Han Lee Eh, and YouTuber God Dyu. With beloved drama soundtracks, the concert captivated audiences, especially young people and those in their 30s. The event showcased the growing influence of K-pop, K-dramas, and Korean entertainment in Türkiye, highlighting the passionate fan communities forming around online groups and fan clubs.

KOCCA Opens New Hub in İstanbul

As part of K-Content Expo, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) launched its İstanbul Business Center and organized networking sessions with local companies and institutions. Thirty Korean content firms conducted over 500 meetings in İstanbul, fueling excitement for K-content among young people and reinforcing the foundation for long-term collaboration. İstanbul is now expected to emerge as a new hub for Korean content between Europe and the Middle East.

Korean Content Creates New Economic Opportunities in Türkiye

K-Content Expo demonstrated that Korean content is not just an export product but also a strategic value that strengthens cultural empathy among young people and generates new economic opportunities. Cultural and economic cooperation between Korea and Türkiye is expected to accelerate in the coming period.
