A collaboration between Warner Bros. Television and HBO, the series expands the eerie world brought to life by director Andy Muschietti in IT and IT: Chapter Two. The show is produced by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, with Muschietti also directing several episodes.

The cast includes Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård reprising his iconic role as Pennywise the Clown.

The premiere episode was written by Jason Fuchs and Brad Caleb Kane, who also serve as co-showrunners.

Fans will get their first real look at Welcome to Derry at San Diego Comic-Con, where a teaser and trailer will debut during a special presentation hosted by creators Andy and Barbara Muschietti. HBO Max is also bringing the show’s horror vibes to the streets of San Diego with Pennywise-themed pedicabs and immersive experiences.

Based on Stephen King’s classic novel, Welcome to Derry promises a gripping horror experience for both longtime fans and newcomers.
