Hulu has acquired US rights to Australian dark comedy-drama Sunny Nights following a deal with Cineflix Rights.
The show premiered on Australian streamer Stan in late December and will premiere exclusively on Hulu in the US on March 11.
Sunny Nights is produced by Echo Lake Entertainment and Jungle Entertainment. The series stars Will Forte and D’Arcy Carden and follows two siblings who launch a spray-tan business in Sydney, only to find themselves drawn into the city’s criminal underworld.
Sunny Nights has also been picked up by ITV in the UK, Bell Media in Canada, ProSieben in Germany, Canal+ in the Netherlands, TVNZ in New Zealand, TG4 in Ireland, and Yes in Israel.
The series is directed and executive produced by Trent O’Donnell and created by Nick Keetch and Ty Freer.
