The White Lotus and The Leftovers star Carrie Coon has joined Rebecca Ferguson and Greta Lee in the upcoming romantic comedy Honeymoon/Funeral.

MRC is financing and overseeing production on the film, which is directed by Nahnatchka Khan from a screenplay by Julia Bicknell. Filming is currently underway in London.

What is Honeymoon/Funeral About?

The film follows two women who meet on a flight from Los Angeles to London. One is travelling alone to her honeymoon after being left at the altar by her girlfriend, while the other is returning home for her mother’s funeral. Their chance encounter eventually leads them to spend a week together in London.

Who Will Carrie Coon Play in Honeymoon/Funeral?

Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony nominee Carrie Coon will play Sarah, the ex-fiancée of Lee’s character. Coon also recently received strong reviews at the Telluride Film Festival for her performance in the upcoming film The Liberation.

Who is Behind Honeymoon/Funeral?

Jennifer Carreras and Nahnatchka Khan are producing the film through their Fierce Baby banner alongside Julia Bicknell. FilmNation is handling international sales for the film at the Toronto International Film Festival market.
