The series Hidden Garden, produced by TMC Film and globally distributed by Calinos Entertainment, starring Murat Yıldırım and Ebru Şahin, premieres tonight (Tuesday, October 15) on NOW. The lead actors, Murat Yıldırım and Ebru Şahin, shared their thoughts about their characters and the series.

Murat Yıldırım, who plays Demir, a famous architect in Hidden Garden, stated that they are bringing a show with strong conflicts to the audience. He said, “The struggles each character faces within their own stories are incredibly moving. The relationships between the characters are very realistic, and the story is full of surprises. That’s what affected me the most.”

Filming in the enchanting city of Marrakesh, Yıldırım described his character as follows: “Demir is a highly successful architect living in Marrakesh. After enduring hardship from his family, he decided to leave them behind. He believes children should be raised by the right people and is very sensitive about this. Although he may seem distant, he is, in fact, a very empathetic person.”

Ebru Şahin, who plays Nazlı, a strong, young, single mother, explained her character: “Despite the financial struggles and life’s difficulties, Nazlı finds the strength to keep going through her son, Memo. She’s an independent, responsible mother who fights for him. While she maintains a calm and gentle demeanor despite the blows and hardships she faces, when it comes to Memo, she becomes bold and fierce.”

Describing Hidden Garden as a heartfelt and genuine project, Şahin continued, “It portrays how single mothers, and those who take on the role of motherhood, strive to survive without being crushed by life’s burdens, holding on to their values through their struggles. It also captures the frustrations they may only express to themselves in their solitude. When I first read the script, I saw the struggles of the women around me, even in my own family, so it felt very close and real to me. I can’t say it’s exactly the same, but as someone who has experienced the complexity of not choosing the easy path from a young age, I can say I particularly connected with Nazlı’s multi-dimensional character and her effort to carve her own path without colliding with others.”

Hidden Garden, written by Neşe Şen, with Emre Özdür and Hazar Kozice as screenwriters and directed by Recai Karagöz, premieres tonight at 8:00 PM on NOW.
