HBO Max has confirmed that the platform will continue to serve as a non-producing licensing partner of Crave for the second season of Heated Rivalry.
The first season debuted on Nov. 28 with two episodes and is set to conclude on Dec. 26. The show is created by Jacob Tierney for Crave, the Canadian streaming service owned by Bell Media, and licensed by HBO Max. Heated Rivalry is based on the book series Game Changers by Rachel Reid.
The romantic drama centers on the relationship between rival hockey stars Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie). The series also stars François Arnaud, Robbie G.K., Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Sophie Nélisse and Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova.
