HBO’s Harry Potter series is adding three more familiar characters to its wizarding world as production continues on Season 2 in the UK.
Rafe Spall, Molly Hewitt-Richards and Jasper Ambrose have joined the cast, taking on the roles of Arthur Weasley, Moaning Myrtle and Colin Creevey, respectively. Filming is currently underway at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
Who Is Joining the Harry Potter Season 2 Cast?
Rafe Spall will portray Arthur Weasley, the Ministry of Magic employee and father of Ron Weasley. The character was previously played by Mark Williams across the original Harry Potter films.

Spall is known for his roles in Trying and Under Salt Marsh. His casting also continues a family connection to the franchise, as his father Timothy Spall played Peter Pettigrew in the films.
Molly Hewitt-Richards will appear as Moaning Myrtle, the Hogwarts ghost who inhabits the girls’ bathroom. Shirley Henderson previously played the character on screen.
Jasper Ambrose has been cast as Colin Creevey, the young Gryffindor student whose enthusiasm for Harry Potter makes him a familiar face around Hogwarts. The role was previously played by Hugh Mitchell in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
What Else Is New in Harry Potter Season 2?

The three actors join several other newcomers announced for the second season, including Kit Harington as Gilderoy Lockhart, Bonnie Hill as Ginny Weasley, Lenny Rush as Dobby and Billy Barratt as Tom Riddle.
The returning young leads include Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The wider cast features John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Snape and Nick Frost as Hagrid.
Francesca Gardiner serves as writer and executive producer, while Mark Mylod is directing multiple episodes and executive producing. The series is produced by HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television.
