Kanal D International has announced that Fatmagül, one of the most widely distributed Turkish drama series, will join Netflix.

Beginning August 19, 2026, the series will be available across Latin America, including Brazil, with Spanish and Portuguese language options.

Produced by Ay Yapım and originally broadcast on Kanal D, Fatmagül has been licensed in more than 150 countries, becoming one of the Turkish productions that contributed to the international expansion of Turkish dramas. Its arrival on Netflix in Latin America adds another stage to the series’ international distribution.

The series follows a young woman’s journey to reclaim her voice and rebuild her life, exploring themes of strength, healing and hope. Through its characters and narrative, Fatmagül has reached audiences across different cultures and generations.

The Netflix release is part of Kanal D International’s ongoing efforts to expand the international distribution of Turkish television content through global partnerships.

Commenting on the milestone, Elif Tatoğlu, Director of Sales at Kanal D International, said:

“More than a decade after its original premiere, Fatmagül continues to demonstrate the extraordinary power of a truly great IP. Following its outstanding international success, particularly across Latin America, the series is still attracting new audiences through global streaming platforms. Its arrival on Netflix is a testament to the timeless nature of its story and the lasting emotional connection it creates with viewers.

At Kanal D International, we are proud to see one of our most iconic titles continue to generate value for our partners and reach new generations of audiences around the world. The continued global demand for Fatmagül also extends beyond its original version. As one of the strongest scripted formats in our catalogue, the remake rights remain available for new adaptations, offering broadcasters and producers the opportunity to reinterpret this timeless story for local audiences while building on the legacy of a proven global success.”
