Berlin-based digital studio DRIVE Beta has formed a strategic partnership with Cologne-based production holding Rosebank Entertainment.
Under the agreement, Rosebank Entertainment will acquire a minority stake in the company.
Rosebank will support the company’s business development efforts, including finance, business strategy, and legal processes. In return, DRIVE Beta will provide Rosebank with its expertise in distribution and social media.
Established in 2018, the company produces feature-length formats, series, social media content, documentaries, and scripted productions.
Rosebank Entertainment operates under Beta Film and includes production companies such as Bantry Bay, Brot&Butter ENTERTAINMENT, and Dreamtool within it.
Hannes Jakobsen, Founder and CEO of DRIVE beta GmbH, commented on the agreement, saying: “From the outset, our aim with DRIVE beta was to produce contemporary media with a clear signature and great appeal. Together with our fantastic clients and broadcasters, we have consistently succeeded in doing so as a team. The partnership with Rosebank enables us to build on this success and, with the help of the holding company’s structures, to focus even more strongly on developing new projects and genres, as well as on entrepreneurial development.”
Jan Kromschröder and Stefan Oelze, Managing Partners at Rosebank Entertainment AG, said: “With its clear focus on on-demand content and distribution, DRIVE beta complements Rosebank’s existing creative portfolio and thus occupies a promising unique position within the entire Beta Group. We are also looking forward to the creative exchange between the teams at DRIVE beta and the Rosebank companies Bantry Bay, Brot&Butter ENTERTAINMENT, and Dreamtool.”
