Deception (Aldatmak), produced by TIMS&B Productions, broadcast by atv and distributed internationally by Inter Medya, has garnered significant acclaim, winning two major awards at the Produ Awards, the most prestigious accolade in Latin America’s television industry.
During the ceremony, Deception stood out with its four different nominations, triumphing in the Best Non-Spanish Language Telenovela category. Additionally, Mustafa Uğurlu earned the award for Best Non-Spanish Speaking Actor for his role in the series as Tarık.
The series’ producers, Timur Savcı and Burak Sağyaşar, conveyed their heartfelt gratitude through a video message, while Mustafa Uğurlu took the opportunity to thank the Latin American audience for their support in a separate video.
The Produ Awards, now in its eighth year, took place from October 30 to 31, 2024, featuring a 48-hour live broadcast. With awards presented in 100 different categories, the virtual event attracted a global audience and showcased live connections from various celebrities.
Deception, directed by Murat Saraçoğlu and written by Yıldız Tunç, captivates audiences with its engaging and dramatic storyline. After a successful run in Türkiye, the series has been licensed in multiple countries, furthering its global success. Having begun its journey in Latin America on Chile’s Chilevision, Deception has now further solidified its success in the region with these latest accolades.
Previously, Bitter Lands, also produced by TIMS&B Productions and distributed worldwide by Inter Medya, won the Best Telenovela in Foreign Language award in 2020, with Vahide Perçin receiving the Best Non-Spanish Speaking Actress award for her iconic role as Hunkar. In 2022, another TIMS&B Productions title, The Trusted, which Inter Medya also distributed internationally, claimed the Best Telenovela in Non-Spanish Language award, while Alina Boz was recognized as Best Non-Spanish Speaking Actress for her remarkable performance in the series.
