Beta Film is set to kick off its Spring/Summer 2026 season at Series Mania in Lille with its traditional “Beta Brunch,” marking the company’s continued strong presence at one of Europe’s leading TV industry events.
Leading the company’s line-up is the Spanish dramedy In Vitro, for which Beta Film has secured international distribution rights. The series has also been selected as one of the ten featured titles in Series Mania’s exclusive “Buyers Upfront” showcase, highlighting its potential appeal to global buyers and commissioners.
In Vitro follows Blanca, a 37-year-old biologist who begins working at a fertility clinic in search of a more meaningful career path. As she navigates the emotional and ethical complexities of her patients’ journeys, she is also forced to confront her own beliefs about motherhood, relationships, and societal expectations. The series stars Bruna Cusí in the lead role, bringing nuance and depth to a story that blends humor with heartfelt drama.
Beyond In Vitro, Beta Film’s slate reflects a diverse and increasingly global strategy. New acquisitions include the company’s first Korean drama Snow White Must Die, a gripping adaptation of a bestselling novel; the Icelandic romantic drama Everybody Loves Horses, set against the country’s striking natural landscapes; the French thriller A Guilty Affair, centered on a mother’s desperate search for her missing daughter; and the German medical movie cycle Simply Elli, which brings a fresh and unconventional perspective to the genre through its ADHD protagonist.
The line-up also includes key highlights previously presented at the London TV Screenings, such as Gomorrah – The Origins, Maxima, Patience, and Barton Vet, further reinforcing Beta’s position in the premium international content market.
In addition to its content slate, Beta Film will also take part in key industry conversations. Oliver Bachert, the company’s Chief Distribution Officer, is set to join a panel discussion exploring how distributors can remain relevant in an evolving landscape where broadcasters and platforms are increasingly forming strategic alliances.
Meanwhile, the fourth edition of the creative initiative SERIESMAKERS will announce its winning team on March 24, as part of the Co-Pro Pitching Award session—underscoring Beta’s ongoing commitment to fostering new creative voices.
Beta Film handles the international sales for all titles in its line-up, continuing to expand the global reach of its diverse portfolio.
