Ben Hardy, known for his roles in Bohemian Rhapsody and X-Men: Apocalypse, has been cast as the lead in Prime Video’s upcoming horror thriller series Stillwater.
Based on the Skybound graphic novel by Chip Zdarsky and Ramón K. Pérez, the series is produced by Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, Skybound Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios.
What is Stillwater About?
The series follows Daniel West, an ex-convict who receives a mysterious letter promising answers about his past and a substantial inheritance in the small town of Stillwater. However, upon arriving, he discovers a community with a disturbing secret: nothing ever ages, no one ever dies, and nobody ever gets out.
Described as a mind-bending horror thriller, the one-hour drama explores the unsettling mysteries surrounding the seemingly immortal town and its inhabitants.
Who is Behind the Series?
Stillwater comes from executive producers Greg Berlanti, known for You and The Flash, and Carly Wray, whose credits include Watchmen and Westworld. The duo also co-wrote the pilot episode.
The project received an eight-episode series order ahead of San Diego Comic-Con in July 2026.
