The BBC has announced a new four-part horror series, The Witch Farm, adapting the acclaimed paranormal podcast by Danny Robbins, the creative force behind Uncanny and 2:22 A Ghost Story.

Set in 1980s Wales, the supernatural drama follows Bill and Liz Rich as they relocate from London to a remote farmhouse in the Brecon Beacons in search of a fresh start. However, their dream quickly turns into a nightmare following a traumatic home birth, after which Liz begins to witness ghostly apparitions.

This “deliciously dark detective story” evolves beyond a simple haunting, morphing into a psychological thriller that tests the foundations of the couple’s marriage and their grip on reality as the dark history of the land begins to surface.

The Witch Farm features a compelling lead duo with Michael Socha (What It Feels Like for a Girl) and Gabrielle Creevy (The Guest) portraying the embattled couple, under the direction of Stacey Gregg. Produced by BBC Cymru Wales, the project is rooted in real-life accounts collected by Robbins, promising an atmospheric narrative that blends spine-tingling horror with a deeply moving emotional journey.

Positioned as a must-watch for fans of high-end supernatural thrillers, The Witch Farm aims to keep audiences on the edge of their seats by exploring the terrifying intersections of trust, belief, and survival.
